In this forum we will offer discussions on a wide variety of subjects, but focus on Portland Metro and real estate. Hopefully our insights and experiences will inform, educate, challenge and entertain our readers week after week.
We are seeing a similar acceleration in market improvement in the Phoenix area. In fact, the number of homes currently under contract for purchase is at a record, surpassing even what we saw during the market high.
I suspect the foreclosure moratoriums and aggressive pricing have had an impact in generating buyer interest in preparation for more foreclosures to come given the moratorium was lifted at end of March.
Thanks for the insight into Portland's market. It's nice to see that improvements are taking place across multiple markets.
